Chapter 40. Limit Users for Rosters and Directories

Overview

The Limit Users page is used to control which users are shown in the directory or on the roster by setting restrictions. These restrictions will modify the database query so that only the desired users are available.

Any user which has selected 'No, do NOT share information' will automatically be removed (or partially hidden) from all directory and roster pages.

Use the Limit Users page to:

  • Control which users are shown in the directory or on the roster.

How to Limit Users on Rosters and Directories

Limit Users

Use the following fields to restrict the users shown in the directory or on the roster: Status, Purpose, User Types and Company Contact types.

Note

You can add Custom Restrictions, limiting the query by any available field in the user database. It is possible to set up nonsensical restrictions (example: Middle Name is greater than 5). This can result in all of your users being hidden from the directory. Always test your results!
