James Bryce Clark (jamie.clark@oasis-open.org), General Counsel for OASIS, advises on legal and policy matters as well as the consortium's extensive liaison efforts. He is an e-commerce and information technology attorney who began his practice as a financing and corporate restructuring lawyer with Shearman & Sterling at 53 Wall Street in New York. He represented high technology companies in their banking, trade finance, acquisitions and securities transactions throughout the 1990's, and served two terms as chairman of the American Bar Association's business law subcommittee on electronic commerce. While a practicing attorney, he was a contributor to the original ebXML project (now ISO 15000), co-editor of its business process standards in 2001, and chairman of the ebXML Joint Coordinating Committee. Prior to joining OASIS's staff in 2003, he was vice president and general counsel of a healthcare e-commerce company, and corporate partner in a Los Angeles law firm. He is a U.S. delegate to the e-commerce working group of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), and an expert adviser on automated contracting and Internet law for the U.S. State Department. He is a frequent speaker and author in e-commerce and information security law as well as complex finance transactions. Jamie holds JD and BSc degrees from the University of Minnesota, and is based in Los Angeles.

Carol Cosgrove-Sacks, Ph.D (carol.cosgrove-sacks@oasis-open.org), Senior Advisor on International Standards Policy, represents OASIS to European and international organizations, the business community and NGOs. She contributes to promoting the policy relevance and visibility of OASIS in international processes and assists with OASIS strategic business development and networking with governments and trade associations throughout Europe. Carol was formerly Director of Trade in the United Nations (1994-2005), where she was responsible for managing support to the UN Center for Trade Facilitation and E-Business [UN/CEFACT], including the management of UN/EDIFACT and the development of ebXML and the UN electronic documents set, UNeDocs. She launched and organized the annual UN forums on international trade facilitation and e-business and the programme on Internet enterprise development. She has participated in many international taskforces to define the policy and strategic context for e-business tools, including the ISO High Level Steering Group on CALS, the UN ICT Taskforce, the OECD Working Group on e-Commerce, and was the global coordinator for the UN Regional Commissions for the World Summits on the Information Society (WSIS),2003 to 2005. She is based in Geneva, where she works as a business consultant especially regarding the WTO and international supply chains. She is also a Professor at the College of Europe, Bruges, and travels frequently to Brussels. She is a regular public speaker, particularly about international trade logistics, e-business and e-government. Her credentials include a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. in economics and a Ph.D. in international trade development. She is based in Geneva and speaks English, French and German.

Robin Cover (robin.cover@oasis-open.org), Director of Information Services at OASIS, has provided support and guidance to the consortium since 1998—and to the field of structured information standards for more than two decades. He is best known as editor of The Cover Pages, an online library dedicated to open standards-based solutions that protect digital information and enhance the quality of data processing. Sponsored by members of OASIS, The Cover Pages web site is the current incarnation of a public access knowledgebase maintained by Robin since work on SGML/XML began in 1986. Robin also publishes  XML Daily Newslink, a newsletter that provides citations and summaries of the most relevant news stories published on XML and related IT standards. At OASIS, Robin plays a major role in ensuring open access to information and support for the standards development process. He provides requirements analysis and conceptual model design to support internal and external applications conforming to Web Architecture best practices. Robin was a recipient of the IDEAlliance XML Cup Award in 2004. His interest in humanities computing began in 1979 with a project focused on the development of syntactic encoding for ancient Hebrew language. His post-graduate academic programs and teaching in the area of semitics and oriental studies run parallel to long-standing interest in linguistic and literary analysis of text using computers. SGML first captured Robin's attention in 1986 when he envisioned the value of descriptive markup for encoding a machine-independent representation of multilingual text. He became "bibliographer at large" for SGML and related standards, maintaining an online reference collection supporting markup theory and praxis. Robin has served on the TEI Text Representation Committee and Textual Criticism Working Group. He also served for several years as Program Chair of the Computer Assisted Research Group (CARG) for the Society of Biblical Literature/American Academy of Religion. Robin is based in Dallas.

Barbara Erbes (barbara.erbes@oasis-open.org), Member Support Coordinator for OASIS, provides a variety of services to assist participants in starting and renewing their memberships. Barbara serves as the initial point-of-contact for many support issues. She coordinates the distribution of internal and external collateral, manages the member database, and also organizes staff scheduling requirements. Barbara has been an office manager since 1990 working in the for-profit sector. Barbara is based in Boston.

Carol Geyer (carol.geyer@oasis-open.org), Director of Communications, works to increase the global visibility of OASIS as an international open standards consortium. She serves as primary contact for editors and analysts, promoting the work of the OASIS Committees and Member Sections. She oversees operations of OASIS information channels, including the Cover Pages and XML.org web sites, and coordinates all Consortium branding, collateral, newsletters, member communications, and events. Carol has more than 23 years of experience in marketing communications and has held senior-level management positions in a variety of high technology firms in a variety of industries including computer hardware, publishing, environmental systems, and robotics. She has been with OASIS since the Consortium was founded as SGML Open in 1993. Carol is based in Sarasota, Florida, USA.

Jane Harnad (jane.harnad@oasis-open.org), Manager of Events, plans and executes all consortium-sponsored symposia, seminars, and conference tracks. She researches, develops, and implements organization events, while ensuring membership satisfaction. Jane brings to OASIS over 13 years of experience in planning meetings and events for both corporate and association individuals. Jane is based in Washington, DC.

Andy Lee, Ph.D., (anyu.lee@gmail.com) serves as the OASIS China Regional Office Representative, supporting the Consortium's members and activities in China. Andy also heads the technical committee of China's Changfeng Open Standards Platform Software Alliance and serves on the OASIS Technical Advisory Board. His accomplishments in the area of open standards includes: the development of cnXML, a project which introduced XML technology to China's IT industry; the development of an XML standard suite in China's e-Government reference model and reference architecture; key participation in the adoption of ebXML as China's national eBusiness standard; recognition of Rossettanet as the official e-Logistical standard for China; and the development of SOA EERP, which is regarded as an emerging industry standard in next generation enterprise applications. Andy has also served as China's senior eBusiness advisor and acted as the national major eBusiness project technical reviewer since 2002. He holds a Master's degree in fluid dynamics from Shanghai JiaoTong University and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford University. He speaks English and Chinese.

Harry Levinson (harry.levinson@oasis-open.org), Senior Software Developer, works as part of the OASIS technology services team. He conducts research and development for the software infrastructure that supports OASIS' member management systems. Harry has been creating software for more than 25 years for a variety of organizations, including non-profits in the San Francisco and Boston areas. Since 1995 he has developed web sites using technologies such as Java, MS SQL Server, MySQL, and ColdFusion. Harry designed the software package, DateHound, which was selected as the best Y2K scanning utility by a national computer magazine in 1999. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Harry is based in Boston.

Laurent Liscia, Ph.D., (laurent.liscia@oasis-open.org), Executive Director at OASIS, provides leadership, operational oversight, and strategic vision for the consortium. He represents OASIS in the international arena, serving as an advocate for open standards in matters of policy and adoption. Laurent also develops new opportunities to extend the breadth and depth of future OASIS work. Prior to joining OASIS, he co-founded several Web-related companies, including Traackr and Webmotion. Laurent served as a Media Attaché for French Foreign Affairs and has worked in France, Canada, Italy, Ecuador, Morocco and the United States. He holds a doctorate from the Sorbonne University and speaks English, French, Italian, and Spanish. Laurent is based in San Francisco. Read Laurent's blog.

José Márquez (jose.marquez@oasis-open.org) works on the OASIS technology services team as junior web developer and webmaster for the OASIS, XML.org, and Member Sections sites. He previously worked for Northrop Grumman's Information Technology (TASC) division developing software in the Product Lifecycle Management arena. José has also worked in automotive publishing and financial services. An open source enthusiast, he has been developing web pages with increasing amounts of automation for over a decade. Cathie Mayo (cathie.mayo@oasis-open.org) serves as the Manager of Accounting. She prepares monthly Financials Statements for OASIS and its Member Sections, along with Budget Preparation, Financial Analysis and Forecasting for the Consortium. She oversees all the accounting functions and systems, handles all general ledger aspects, and HR coordination. Cathie is based in Boston.

Scott McGrath (scott.mcgrath@oasis-open.org) serves as Senior Director of Member Services for OASIS. Acting as an advocate for member interests, he manages member service operations, membership renewals, financial operations, technology services, and staffing resources to bring maximum benefit to all Consortium participants. Scott assists special interest groups, clarifies member issues, oversees technology and enhances member benefits and programs. A frequent industry speaker, he is conversant on the latest advances in interoperable computing solutions and well versed on industry studies and research related to the work of OASIS. He holds an MBA from Boston College. Scott is based in Boston.

Mary McRae (mary.mcrae@oasis-open.org), Director of Standards Development, provides front-line support for OASIS committees and the standards they produce. As TC Administrator, she works with OASIS TC chairs, guiding them through the OASIS technical process and helping them reach the goals and objectives of their charters. Mary also serves on the OASIS Technical Advisory Board. She joined the OASIS staff in 2004, but she has been an active member of the Consortium since 1995, serving on the OASIS Board of Directors in 1999. Mary became involved in structured markup languages in 1992, while working for Butterworth Legal Publishers, where she mastered the nuances of document analysis, DTD development, structured editors, and content management systems. Later, as Vice President of XML Solutions and Principal XML Technologist for DMSi, she used her skills at project management, needs analysis, requirements definition, product selection, schema development, application customization, and training to help clients avoid the pitfalls she encountered herself as an early adopter. Sandwiched in between, Mary was the Manager of Sales Support for Xyvision (now XyEnterprise), focusing on SGML/XML content management solutions. Mary is co-author of "Office 2003 XML" and a frequent speaker at industry conferences. In her spare time, Mary is a textile artist. She is based in Bethlehem, New Hampshire, USA.

Neil Schelly (neil.schelly@oasis-open.org), Senior Systems Administrator, works in the technology services team to support the systems and networks that serve OASIS members. Most of Neil's 10 years of IT experience have concentrated on implementing free and open source software solutions. Neil has a B.S. in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and is based in Boston. Read Neil's blog.

Dee Schur (dee.schur@oasis-open.org), Manager of Member Support, works to enhance the membership experience for the entire OASIS community. She serves as a direct resource for OASIS Member Sections and also coordinates Committee outreach activities such as OASIS InterOps and TC webinars. Dee joined OASIS in 2001 as a Marketing Support Specialist and later, became Member Outreach Manager. In addition to her work at the Consortium, Dee provides leadership in a variety of political and charitable organizations, both locally and internationally. Dee is based in Sarasota, Florida, USA.

Taku Shingai (tsshingai@gmail.com) serves as a localization/translation specialist for the OASIS Japanese web site and press releases. Taku joined OASIS in March 2009. Since 2002 Taku has been a member of the open-source ASP/ASP.Net community for web forum internationalization/localization focusing on a Unicode version development for Japanese. Previously Taku was responsible for implementing and supporting Lotus Notes messaging and Domino applications for the State of Hawaii's Department of Education. Taku has over 20 years of various sales/marketing/product marketing background in IT industry in the areas of web globalization, computer networking, and computer applications, involved in various product and software internationalization/localization for the Japanese market. He was Director Business Development for World Point Interactive, Sales manager for Japan/Korea and Director of Pacific Rim Sales for Xyplex Inc, International Product Marketing Manager for Lotus Development, and has held various sales/marketing roles for Prime Computer, Computervision, and Sumitomo Business Consulting. Taku was a Fulbright scholar/PhD candidate at MIT and holds an MA/BA from Sophia University/Jochi Daigaku in Tokyo. Taku speaks English, Japanese, and some Chinese. He is based in Boston.

Pim van der Eijk (pim.vandereijk@oasis-open.org) serves as the OASIS Senior Advisor on Standards, supporting and expanding OASIS membership in Europe by organizing activities and promoting involvement in technical work. He speaks on behalf of the Consortium at many European conferences and seminars. Pim's extensive experience in SGML, XML and e-business includes technology positions at Excelon, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and Digital Equipment Corporation, as well as active participation in the Dutch SGML/XML User Group. Pim is based in the Netherlands and speaks Dutch, English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish.
