Peter, you might want to check out the following site to access the Justice XML data dictionary. http://it.ojp.gov/jxdd/prerelease/3.0.0.0/JusticeXMLDataDictionary.pdf you can easily extend this work to build schema for your context of use. I know also that the US Court Clerk Office in the state of Washington earlier this year was initiating contact with the bureau of (federal) prisons to discuss data exchange but i think the Clerk technical staff was viewing the exchange from a CM/ECF (AOUSC) perspective... PDF/e-mail. Perhaps you already know about this initiative? I am currently working here on an electronic case filing project that will build an xml data exchange between U.S. Attorney Offices and U.S. Courts. Look forward to learning more about your work.
