I find that XML's lack of exclusions is the biggest hole in XML's content modeling capabilities compared to SGML. I don't have a good sense of how much complexity this adds to TREX, so I'm not able to place it on either side of the 80/20 myself, but from a user's point of view, exclusions are fairly nice to have. paul
