It is proposed that we add to XLIFF 1.1 a new attribute, named annotates, to the note element to allow users to indicate if a note refers to source or target elements.
The annotates attribute should be optional, with a default value that indicates that the note doesn't annotate anything in particular, with values drawn from: source, target, and general. The value general is the implied default.
The proposed addition, if adopted, will require a minor change to the XSD and the specification, requiring the TC to vote on accepting the delta spec as Committee Specification.
To vote YES on the ballot is to signify agreement that the attribute should be added. Voting NO indicates that the new attribute should not be added. |
