The DocBook TC works to develop and maintain the DocBook family of specifications and to continue to support its ever growing user base.
DocBook is a general purpose schema particularly well suited to books and papers about computer hardware and software (though it is by no means limited to these applications). Version 5.1 release introduces assemblies for topic-oriented authoring. It also addresses a selection of bugs and feature requests.
DocBook Version 5.1 received 3 Statements of Use from Norman Walsh, Sagehill Enterprises and LexisNexis.
