This cover note contains information re: the XACML 2.0 RSA Interop
event that was held at the 2008 RSA Conference in San Francisco,
CA from April 7-10, 2008. It also describes the zip file below.
The XACML 2.0 RSA Conference 2008 Interop event:
At RSA 2008, nine members of the OASIS open standards
consortium, in cooperation with the Health Information
Technologies Standards Panel (HITSP), demonstrated
interoperability of the eXtensible Access Control Markup
Language (XACML) version 2.0.
Simulating a real world scenario provided by the
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA),
the demo showed how XACML ensures successful authorization
decision requests and the exchange of authorization policies.

This zip file contains the following artifacts from the XACML 2.0
RSA Interop
1. visio-rsa panels v14-final.pdf
A high level overview of the VA application/XACML
architecture (the posters).
2. xacml-2.0-core-RSA2008-interop-draft-12-03.zip
The design doc for the XACML policies for the RSA Interop,
which includes background, reqts analysis, and the actual
policies that were used by the participants during the
Interop as well as test messages used for exercising the
policies. The document also contains refs to additional
background information on the VA health care architectural
framework.
3. rsa2008_oasis_demo.zip
A recorded script of the demo actually given at the
participants' desks in the OASIS XACML Interop booth.
4. RSA Use Cases Guide v.7-final.doc
A description of the runtime VA application demo that
explains in detail what is being demonstrated in the
recorded script, although it is not correlated
screen-by-screen with the script, it contains the in depth
information about the screens that are used in the script.
5. HL7 Consent Handouts.pdf
A 2-page poster version handout from the booth that
describes the underlying HL7 (Health Language, Version 7)
Data Consent Model that governs patient privacy consent
that is demonstrated in the Interop application.
6. RSA XACML Interoperability Demo.pdf
Running slide presentation on large monitor at OASIS Booth
giving background on XACML and the Health Care Interop
being demonstrated at the participant desks within the
booth.
7. Modern Healthcare on RSA Interop.doc
