$(Closed) The id attribute for trans-unit, group, bin-unit, and alt-trans is of type NMTOKEN currently, which prohibits spaces and most non-alphanumeric characters. It is proposed that XLIFF 1.1 modify the id type to \'string\', which is more flexible and does not otherwise appear to change funtionality. The proposed change, if adopted, will require a minor change to the XSD and the specification, requiring the TC to vote on accepting the delta spec as Committee Specification.
