ebBP Teleconference Call 18 April 2006 Present: Green Moberg Nagahashi Schlegel St. Amand Webber Martin Regrets: Mukkamala (emergency in India) Quorum achieved. Agenda: 1. Approval of meeting minutes 11 April 2006. No objections; approved. 2. Consider approval of editorial changes made to ready documents for Committee Specification vote (non-substantive). Accept changes for v2.03 Committee Draft. Martin: In readying for CS vote initiation, Green, Moberg and Martin found changes required in non-normative language in Appendix B. Appendices are normative although only normative language exists in Appendix A, BSI. Informal voting member poll indicated that retaining v2.0.3 and proceeding - this was the preferred option. Moberg: XPath expressions were incomplete and conceptual. A shorthand was used. We corrected the XPath editorial typographicals. Need to expand the attribute groups to reference the appropriate elements. We used a common format to show the XPath convention. This more specifically describes the ebBP elements that map to CPP/CPA. Martin: Similar changes or process steps have been used in other OASIS groups. Green: Yes, this is true for other groups. Moberg: Retain v2.0.3 Committee Draft and integrate editorial changes discussed. St. Amand: Second. No objections, approved. ACTIONS: Martin/ a. Add the diff documents to the v2.0.3 folder. b. Change the documents to Committee Draft. c. Submit the packages and email to OASIS for Committee Specification vote initiation. d. Ask OASIS to send email regarding IPR. Status: Done 19 April 2006. 3. OASIS Symposium slide review. Martin: These are still under development; need more examples of modular to complex process transition. Schlegel: Reference the associated workshop with Pim vanderEijk (he will speak for Dutch government). Martin: Will also reference book from Clive Finkelstein that mentions ebBP. Martin: Team please provide comments for the Symposium slides when uploaded. 4. Other business. a. Martin: We will consider ebBP IIC profile soon. Defer. b. Rawlins response Martin: Draft sent 14 April 2006. Reference: http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/ebxml-bp/download.php/17698/ebbp-overview-draft-rawlins-response-041406.pdf Green: Let someone make a bad noise to get traction and attention. Webber: There are two types of criticism: Constructive and destructive. This critical assessment may fall into the latter category. Green: It has the reverse psychology for me. Martin: We will still make a submission. Add comments that we have come through difficult times, and survived despite the challenges. Webber: For our use later, add executive overview for wider consumption: why this is important and can be used. Add a summary at the end that talks about the community and the future directions projected. I can also link to ebXML Forum. Martin: Use OASIS template. Will send to user community as well after Committee Specification vote concludes. Webber: Mention liaisons with CEFACT and OMG (for technical alignment) as well. ACTION: Martin/Prepare and publish update. Status: Done 18 April 2006. Reference: http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/ebxml-bp/email/archives/200604/msg00046.html c. Martin: Can you find out if Crimson Logic has implemented ebBP v2.0.x? Green: This inquiry has been made because likely it has occurred. Webber: They could use the Source Forge ebxmlbp editor as a verification. d. ebXML interviews Martin: Schlegel is coordinating this with OASIS. Schlegel: Need feedback on outline of questions.
