6. JSON representation for metadata

6.1 Let's discuss our plans for advancing those documents and next steps

Full committee specification discussion versus a note started by Ralf

All discuss that the TC specifies a JSON Format for CSDL as a standards track document

Suggested candidate names: "OData JSON CSDL Version 4.0", "OData Version 4.0 Part 3: Common Schema Definition Language (CSDL)", "OData JSON Format Version 4.0", "OData JSON Metadata Version 4.0", "OData JSON Format for Metadata", "OData JSON CSDL for Metadata", "OData JSON Common Schema Definition Language", "OData JSON Common Schema Definition Language (CSDL)", "OData JSON Format for Common Schema Definition Language (CSDL)", "OData JSON Common Schema Definition Language (CSDL) Version 4.0", and "OData JSON Format for Common Schema Definition Language (CSDL) Version 4.0".

Ramesh likes "OData JSON Format for Common Schema Definition Language (CSDL) Version 4.0" as we call other JSON document with JSON Format, so this is same naming convention.

Ramesh suggests that somebody enter a JIRA and target to 4.1 so that we do not forget

Ralf: I move that the TC specifies a "OData JSON Format for Common Schema Definition Language (CSDL) Version 4.0" as a standards track document

Mark seconds

Motion passes, no objections
