Minutes of CPPA Negotiation Conference Call Feb. 5, 2003

Attendees:  Marty Sachs, Dale Moberg, Monica Martin, Dave Makris (Nervewire)

Dale announced that the CPPA and Messaging teams will meet Mar. 10-14 at the UN/CEFACT meeting in San Diego, CA.  The tentative plan is:

·        Messaging Mar. 10-11

·        Joint Messaging-CPPA meeting Mar. 12

·        CPPA Mar. 13-14.

Dale proposed that one day of the CPPA meeting be devoted to reviewing the negotiation open issues and loose ends and making decisions about them.

Dale reported that people on the WSI team are becoming concerned about the extent of modularity in Web services and the number of combinations and permutations that are possible.  Someone at the WSI meeting suggested that “meta-profiles” might be needed on top of the profiles, to cope with the modularity. Dale said that there was a suggestion to look into the CPPA specification.

Given the absence of the owners of all the major negotiation work items, it was decided to adjourn early.  We will continue the scheduled weekly calls in anticipation of people submitting comments or discussion points.

The call was adjourned at 3:30 PM US Eastern time.

Respectively submitted,

Martin Sachs
