Marty discussed the new draft specification that he posted to the negotiation web site yesterday. Both PDF and Word files are included. Comments MUST be referenced to the line numbers in the PDF. This draft contains substantially all the material that is needed for a completed version-1 specification. It also contains notes on all issues and loose ends that Marty is aware of. The team must discuss and dispose of each of these before we are ready to submit the specification to OASIS. Disposition may be modification to the specification, addition of the item to the futures list, or complete dismissal.
Marty reminded everyone that we cannot determine a consensus unless the draft has been reviewed and commented upon by a large number of people.
Monica reported that Tom Warner (Boeing) is part of an Aircraft Industry Association team that is developing electronic business-level contracts. Our work on negotiation should be of interest to them. She will post some correspondence to our listserver. Marty will then make contact with Tom Warner regarding mutual interests.
