While I prefer option 1, there is nothing stopping anyone from delivering a proposal for a vote to be included.

I personally have been against adding new object types in 1.x versions unless they are a specific key object not covered by the current set of objects and attributes.

I would prefer that if a new object is required it be considered for 2.x releases (e.g. Server to Server specific functions, etc...) which to me seem might be in line with potential RNG object type use cases such as centralized or selective RNGs that must be identified and potentially have policy applied.
