(ANN) Call to Vote: Ballot for OASIS Standard – ebXML RegRep Version 4.0

OASIS Members:

The OASIS ebXML Registry TC members [1] have approved submitting the following Committee Specification to the OASIS membership for approval as an OASIS Standard:

This is a call to the primary or alternate representatives of OASIS Organizational Members to vote. This Committee Specification was approved by the Technical Committee and was submitted for the required 60-day public review [2]. All requirements of the OASIS TC Process [3] having been met, the Committee Specification is now submitted to the voting representatives of OASIS organizational members.

The ballot opens 11 January 2012 at 00:00 AM EDT and closes 25 January 2012 at 11:45 PM EDT. You can access the ballot to cast your vote at:

The minimum number of affirmative votes required to approve this ballot is 44 (15% of 290).

Specification Details:

The OASIS ebXML RegRep Version 4.0 specification is a multi-part specification that may be used to implement interoperable registries and repositories. The Committee Specification is composed of:

* Part 0: Overview Document – provides a global overview and description of all the other parts
* Part 1: Registry Information Model (ebRIM) – specifies the types of metadata and content that can be stored in an ebXML RegRep
* Part 2: Services and Protocols (ebRS) – specifies the services and protocols for ebXML RegRep
* Part 3: XML Schema – specifies the XML Schema for ebXML RegRep
* Part 4: WSDL – specifies the WSDL interface descriptions for ebXML RegRep
* Part 5: XML Definitions – specifies the canonical XML data for ebXML RegRep as well as example XML documents used in the specification

Voting Details

Each OASIS organizational member has one vote. OASIS members should ensure that their organization’s voting representative votes according to the organization’s wishes. If you do not know the name of your organization’s voting representative is, go to the My Account page at
