(PR) 15-day Public Review for Electronic Court Filing V4.01

The OASIS LegalXML Electronic Court Filing TC members have produced an updated Committee Specification Draft (CSD) and submitted it for 15-day public review:

Specification Overview:
Electronic Court Filing Version 4.01 defines the LegalXML Electronic Court Filing 4.01 (ECF 4.0) specification, which consists of a set of non-proprietary XML and Web services specifications, along with clarifying explanations and amendments to those specifications, that have been added for the purpose of promoting interoperability among electronic court filing vendors and systems. ECF Version 4.01 is a maintenance release to address several minor schema and definition issues identified by implementers of the ECF 4.0 specification

Public Review Period:
The public review starts 6 April 2012 and ends 21 April 2012. The specification was previously submitted for 15-day public review [2]. This 15-day review is limited in scope to changes made from the previous review. Changes are highlighted in the included diff-marked PDF file.

This is an open invitation to comment. OASIS solicits feedback from potential users, developers and others, whether OASIS members or not, for the sake of improving the interoperability and quality of its technical work.

All comments submitted to OASIS are subject to the OASIS Feedback License, which ensures that the feedback you provide carries the same obligations at least as the obligations of the TC members. In connection with this public review of Electronic Court Filing v4.01, we call your attention to the OASIS IPR Policy [3] applicable especially [4] to the work of this technical committee. All members of the TC should be familiar with this document, which may create obligations regarding the disclosure and availability of a member’s patent, copyright, trademark and license rights that read on an approved OASIS specification.

OASIS invites any persons who know of any such claims to disclose these if they may be essential to the implementation of the above specification, so that notice of them may be posted to the notice page for this TC’s work.
