KMIP Specification V1.1 and KMIP Profiles V1.1 approved as OASIS Standards

We are pleased to announce that the Key Management Interoperability Protocol Specification Version 1.1 and the Key Management Interoperability Protocol Profiles Version 1.1 have been approved by the membership as OASIS Standards [1].

The calls to vote were announced on 09 January 2013 [2] and the ballots closed 24 January 2013. A minimum of 48 affirmative votes were needed in order to win approval. The KMIP Specification received 69 affirmative votes and the KMIP Profiles received 60.

TC Administration will now prepare and publish the final OASIS Standard and notify members when it is available.

Our congratulations to the members of the TC and to the community of implementers, developers and users who have brought the work successfully to this milestone
