Subject: Re: DOCBOOK-APPS: Trying to find a DocBook solution that simply works
My toolset is OpenJade with DSSSL stylesheets, along with pdfjadetex to build PDF. The stylesheets also provide for making HTML and RTF. I looked at using XSLT (and would prefer to work with XSL and not have to come to grips with DSSSL customisation), but concluded that the XSL stylesheets and transformation tools are not quite as mature as the DSSSL ones, certainly for producing PDF. Having said that about XSL, I've also found there are a few patches that need to be applied to openjade and jadetex in order to produce quality output, but all in all it does work.
