For more information and samples see this message: http://sources.redhat.com/ml/docbook-apps/2003-q2/msg00053.html I see that I was able to get a bitmap working with fop--now that I think back, I had to be sure that the size of the image matched the size of the page-width and page-height. Anyway, this will work as long as you can have 0" margins. I don't know if your situation allows that.
