Omar Santos of Cisco Systems and Jay White of Microsoft were elected in the Annual Election. Anish Karmarkar of Oracle, Jason Keirstead of IBM and Daniel Riedel of Next Level Assurance were re-elected. These selected Board members will serve a two-year term ending in 2025. Additionally,ÂVasileios Mavroeidis of University of Oslo was elected in the Special Election and will serve the balance of a term ending in 2024.
These Board Members will be seated June 14 and will join continuing Board members Jim Cabral of Infotrack, Gershon Janssen of Reideate, Bret Jordan of Afero, Duncan Sparrell of SFractal and Altaz Valani. In total, these board members - all selected by the OASIS membership-- will guide the strategic growth and evolution of OASIS.
Additionally, we recognize and thank the outgoing Board members for theirÂservice to the consortium in general and the board's mission specifically.ÂÂÂNima Dokoohaki of Accenture,ÂRoss Gardler of Microsoft elected in 2021 brought important insights to the board during their term. Jeremy Allison, formerly of Google, first elected in 2020 was an important advocate for open-source development during his board service. He recently lost his board eligibility due to a career change. The balanceÂof his term was filled by the Special Election.
