Alan,
One minor correction. It's Waldo Bastian,
not Sebastian.
Thank you for volunteering to continue

Alan Mines, IBM
Don Harbison, IBM
Martha Mealy, IBM
Alan Clark, Novell
Mary McRae, OASIS
Gary Edwards, OpenDocument Foundation
Ryan Singer, OpenDocument Foundation
Louis Suarez-Potts, Individual (OpenOffice.org)
Erwin Tenhumberg, Sun Microsystems
Minutes of meeting on 25th April 2006
=====================================
The minutes were accepted without revision.
Agenda
=======
The proposed agenda was accepted.
ISO Ballot
==========
It was understood that the ODF Submission had been approved without
opposition.
White Paper
===========
It was agreed that a high level presentation would be prepared covering
the
areas of interest for the White Paper. This would enable a start to be
made
in breaking down what is a major piece of work. Erwin would coordinate
the
production of these slides.
The following areas of responsibility were agreed:-
Accessibility - Don
Local Government - Charles
Screenshots - Alan
Symposium
=========
Arrangements for the San Francisco meeting were discussed and agreed.
The committee agreed that other face to face meetings should be considered,
the following were possible candidates:-
Linux World, San Francisco, August (also UK event in London - October)
http://www.linuxworld.com
Open Office Conference, Lyon, September http://
marketing.openoffice.org/ooocon2006/index.html
World Wide Web conference, Edinburgh, May http://www2006.org/
OASIS Standard day in Wiesbaden, Germany, November
http://www.oasis-open.org/news/open_standard_day.php
It was suggested that we develop a consistent message / theme we want to
push at these meetings. This would be discussed in San Francisco.
OSDL Desktop Working Group
==========================
Don spoke briefly on this topic. Waldo Sebastian is also involved in this
area.
Other Items
===========
It was agreed that getting Universities interested in ODF would be very
useful. There were various ways to do this although funding research
projects was probably the most effective. This would be reviewed in San
Francisco.
It was noted that there was a gap in coverage on the committee from the
Latin America and Asia Pacific regions. There was some Chinese interest
in
joining and this would be followed up.
It was agreed there would be no telephone call on the 9th May due to the
face to face meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at this stage.
