Meeting Summary

Meeting highlights and SIDSC decisions.

1. Roll Call

   Attendance was taken, see table above.

   We walked through creating one register and two bit fields. Several questions were raised, which led to the action items captured below.

   Next working meeting, we will do the same activitiy with a register that has multi-dimensional bit fields.

Action Item Summary

• Need clarification on difference/intention of register nameFull and register description. Look to the bitField model for ideas.

• Create domain attribute specialization for "radix" and apply to
  

  • register addressOffset, registerResetValue

  Allowable values are defined in the register normalization worksheet under bitFieldRadix
• The following register elements can be derrived from bitField properties, so we must make them optional:
  

  • registerAcces
  • registerResetValue
  • resetTrig
  • dimension

• Change allowable values for bitOrder to "increment" and "decrement"

• Revisit bitFieldAccess list. How much standardization can-we/should-we enforce?

• Revisit element names for bitValues/*; more logical names may clarify meaning of registerValueGroup, etc.

• bitFieldRadix.... what values does this affect? It would be nice to handled "radix" as either an element or an attribute, rather than both.
