Submitted to OASIS on 1 June 2003
To: [OASIS]
From: John Messing (messing@law-on-line.com)
In connection with the Digital Signature Services Technical Committee, I made a disclosure of intellectual
property which I feel it is appropriate to repeat in [the XCBF] TC, of which I have recently become a member.
Please see:
http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/dss/200302/msg00021.html
for the terms of the initial disclosure.
The restated disclosure as to XCBF is as follows:
If an OASIS Standard incorporating either the court filing or eNotarization contribution is adopted by OASIS
pursuant to the current XCBF Technical Committee Charter, I will endeavor to license, for the purpose of
implementing and complying with the required portions of a resulting OASIS XCBF Standard, patent rights to
necessary claims under reasonable and non-discriminatory terms and conditions to be established after such
patent(s) are issued and final.
Please contact me if there are any questions. Best regards to all.
