Description

Working Draft of the UIMA Specifiation. Changes since working draft 03:

Major reorganization. Section 3 now contains an expanded overview of each spec element. Section 4 is the full specification of each element. Appendix B is the examples.

Fixed many errors and typos found by Karin and myself.

Updated all the Formal Specification Artifacts in Appendix C.

Added Related Work, Abstract, and Acknowledgments sections. Added Karin and Eric to list of editors.

Added a note that Discontiguous annotations are not defined by standard but can be implemented by a user-defined subtype of Annotation (section 4.3.2.2).

Added a note that the Entity type subsumes Events and Relations (section 4.3.2.3).
