Meeting Minutes - March 15, 2008 Attendees: David Ferrucci, Eric Nyberg, Pascal Coupet, Carl Mattocks * Draft spec in OASIS template format was distributed to the group and uploaded to the site * To be approved, the spec will be reviewed for a vote by the general OASIS membership, and 15% (about 45 out of about 300 members) must vote positively for it to be approved. We will need to get all of our TC members engaged and involved in the vote, and we will need to work to enlighten the general OASIS community and marshall their support as well. * The spec will be open to a 60-day public review, then submitted for a 15-day review period and subsequent vote. Because of the timing and a desire to avoid the summer vacation period, we should try to initiate this process by the end of March, or wait until the end of August. * Section 3.4.7, lines 851-858 - should the spec require that PE metadata interfaces (e.g. getMetadata()) be implemented to return objects in the standard XML representation? Some implementors may choose not to do this, if it's not strictly necessary, but we may wish to include it as a compliance point nevertheless. The alternative, stating that the objects returned from the API calls be "mappable to the standard representation", is difficult to evaluate in individual cases. To be discussed with the larger group. * To get the spec through the review process before June we'll need to submit it by March 28th; to do that, we need to read the current draft in the next week and make a decision on whether we're ready to submit, modulo another week's worth of revisions; the goal would be to make the decision in a telco next Friday (21st), and submit a version by the 28th.
