-->Members of the OASIS XML Interchange Language (XMILE) for System Dynamics TC are working to develop an open XML protocol for sharing interoperable SD models and simulations. The work builds upon SMILE, a descriptive, DYNAMO-based language; the XMILE specification itself encodes SMILE in XML.
XMILE will enable System Dynamics models to be reused with Big Data sets to show how different policies produce different outcomes in complex environments. Models may be stored in cloud-based libraries, shared within and between organizations, and used to communicate different outcomes with common vocabulary. XMILE will also support the integration of system dynamics models and simulations into mainstream analytics software.
Using XMILE, online repositories may be created to model common business decisions. ISVs will be able to develop new tools that help businesses understand models and simulations. XMILE also enables the development of standards-based applications for mobile technologies and social media.
For more information on the XMILE TC, see the TC Charter.
No subcommittees have been formed for this TC.
No TC Liaisons have been announced for this TC.
