Ballot: Split Key proposal
Company:
QuintessenceLabs Pty Ltd.
Vote:
Yes
Comment:
I support the proposal, but there are still details to be worked out: "The client may want to add link attributes ...". I'm not sure that this is a good idea. I'd be concerned at non-interoperable implementations when, for example, keys in a linked chain are destroyed. There is also the question of how to handle individually compromised splits. And what happens when sufficient splits are destroyed or compromised such that there are not enough left to join for the full key? Is there a need to manage the aggregate set of splits to ensure consistency of state, and to make sure that we don't end up with "dangling" split keys?
