Comment:The issue raised in the "NO" votes from Arjuna, Oracle, RSA, and Sun regarding normative reference to draft specifications is of sufficient concern that we cannot at this point vote in favor of adoption of WSDM specifications as OASIS standards.
This simply is not good practice. Normative, binding reference to works in progress (what else can a draft be considered) is not an acceptable foundation on which to build a Standard or any product. |
