OASIS XSLT Conformance TC

This TC was originally formed in 1999 before the current OASIS TC Process was created, so there is no original Call For Participation.

The charter for this TC is as follows.

Name

OASIS XSLT Conformance TC

Statement of Purpose

The advancement of the Extensible Markup Language(XML) in electronic commerce is making huge advances towards common storage and data formats, however this only addresses the data format issue. Often times this data needs to be presented differently to meet the particular presentation requirements of an organization/individual. XSLT (Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformation) addresses such needs by providing the ability to define a set of transformation rules to transform the data into human readable reports (such as HTML) or maybe a subset of the original XML vocabulary or any other XML vocabulary. The number of XSL processors is increasing and thus the need for interoperability and conformance arises.

Members of the XSLT/Xpath conformance committee, as well as the public at large, have developed sets of conformance tests. The mission of the OASIS XSLT/XPath conformance committee is to develop the processes, tools and methods to integrate these disparate test-set contributions into a comprehensive XSLT/Xpath conformance test suite
