The purpose of the NDR SC is to recommend to the TC rules and guidelines for normative-form schema design, instance design, and markup naming, and write and maintain documentation of these rules and guidelines.

The recent work has been accomplished as part of the technical committee dealings and not separately in this subcommittee because of there being no need to manage a subcommittee of multiple members.

The work products so far include:

OASIS Business Document Naming and Design Rules Version 1.0

UBL Naming and Design Rules Version 3.0

Currently under public review:

OASIS Business Document Naming and Design Rules Version 1.1

UBL 2.1 JSON Alternative Representation Version 1.0

This web page describes the UBL Naming and Design Rules Subcommittee that originally functioned from November 2001 through May 2004 to provide XML schema design rules for UBL 1.0. In April 2014 the subcommittee was revived in order to create the UBL 2.1 Naming and Design Rules.

Providing Feedback: OASIS welcomes feedback on its technical activities from potential users, developers, and others to better assure the interoperability and quality of OASIS work.
