MQTT and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework V1.0 published

OASIS is pleased to announce the approval and publication of a new Committee Note by the members of the OASIS Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) TC:

Overview:

This note provides guidance for organizations wishing to deploy MQTT in a way consistent with the NIST Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity.

About the TC:

The OASIS MQTT TC is producing a standard for the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport Protocol compatible with MQTT V3.1, together with requirements for enhancements, documented usage examples, best practices, and guidance for use of MQTT topics with commonly available registry and discovery mechanisms.

Members of the TC [1] approved the Committee Note by Full Majority Vote. The note had been released for public review [2]. The vote to approve as a Committee Note passed [3], and the approved CN01 is now available online in the OASIS Library as referenced above.
