Patrick Durusau was recognized as an OASIS Distinguished Contributor in 2015 and currently serves on the OASIS Technical Advisory Board; his term on the TAB extends to July 2019. Patrick is a standards consultant and topic maps enthusiast. He is editor for the OASIS OpenDocument Technical Committee, co-editor of ISO/IEC 13250 part 5 (Topic Maps Reference Model), and former convener of JTC 1/SC 34/WG 3 (topic maps). In no particular order he is interested in the role of formats as part of the interoperability question, semantic integration while preserving semantic diversity, and the development of open and collaborative environments both in and between standards organizations. He holds degrees in law and theology.
