Note that the project must have collected and approved a minimum of three [Statements of Use] before requesting this ballot and at least one must come from an OASIS member. The Statements of Use must be stored and available on an OASIS-approved and managed platform.

Please enter one request ticket for each submission vote you are requesting. Do not group multiple ballot requests together in one ticket.

Request a Special Majority Vote to approve a candidate for OASIS Standard

Use this form to assign Project Administration the task of holding a Special Majority Vote to approve submitting a Committee or Project Specification to the OASIS membership as a candidate for OASIS Standard.
  • Please enter the full name of the Technical Committee or Open Project.
  • Enter the main working email address for your project (e.g. oslc-op@lists.oasis-open-projects.org or cti@lists.oasis-open.org ). A confirmation copy of this assignment will be sent to the address.
  • Enter the title and version number for the Specification to be approved as a candidate for OASIS Standard.
  • Provide the URL to the directory where the Specification is published (e.g. http://docs.oasis-open-projects.org/oslc-op/core/v3.0/ps02/). Note that the directory must include editable source files for the Specification content.
  • Enter a brief description of the Specification that can be provided with the membership ballot.
  • Enter a brief statement describing the relationship of this Specification to similar work of other projects or other standards developing organizations.
  • Provide the link to the first Statement of Use.
  • Provide the link to the second Statement of Use.
  • Provide the link to the third Statement of Use.
  • If more than three Statements of Use were provided, include the links to the additional SoUs here, one per line.
  • Provide a link to the meeting minutes or ballot documenting the approval of the Specification as a candidate for OASIS Standard. See TC Motion Language Templates for suitable motion or ballot language templates.
  • Indicate whether there were earlier attempts to standardize this specification. If "Yes" please provide additional information in the Notes box below.
