Request a template / starter document

Use this form to request that OASIS create a starter document for a document work product. Please submit one request for each Work Product. Do not group individual Work Products together in a single ticket. Contact Project Administration with any questions.
  • Enter the name of the Open Project or Technical Committee requesting the template.
  • Enter the main working email address for your project (e.g. oslc-op@lists.oasis-open-projects.org or cti@lists.oasis-open.org ). A confirmation copy of this assignment will be sent to the address.
  • Enter the working title and version number for this Work Product. Note that you can change this later, as the work progresses. See the OASIS Naming Directives, Work Product Title/Name and Acronym for rules governing work product titles (http://docs.oasis-open.org/specGuidelines/ndr/namingDirectives.html)
  • Enter a short lowercase abbreviation for the work. This is optional; if you do not provide one, Project Administration will choose one. See the OASIS Naming Directives, Rules for URIs and Resources for rules governing work product abbreviations (e.g. no UNDERSCORE or SPACE characters).
  • Indicate whether this is a work intended to become a standard or supplemental/explanatory/promotional/etc. type of work. See Stages in an OASIS Document's Lifecycle for an explanation of Standards track and Non-Standards track work products.
  • Provide a brief description of the purpose of this document. This description will be included on the front page of the publication.
  • Select the format for your template. If you are using a custom publishing system, please note this in the Notes box and we will provide the template as guidance for your front page layout.
  • Enter the names of the chair(s) as they should appear on the template. Use the format: name, email address, organization or "Individual member." For Technical Committees, list the TC chairs. For Open Projects, list the chair(s) of the Project Governing Board.
  • Enter the names of editor(s), if known, as they should appear on the template. Use the format: name, email address, organization or "Individual member." Editors can be changed during document lifecycle as needed.
