Cybersecurity Interoperability Village Workshop & Plugfest

The Cybersecurity Interoperability Village, hosted by the Open Cybersecurity Alliance (OCA), is a two-day hybrid event bringing together cybersecurity vendors, government agencies, end-users, and industry experts to showcase the power of cybersecurity automation. Featuring plugfest sessions, live demonstrations, expert presentations, and interactive contests, this event highlights how organizations can enhance security operations by leveraging interoperable solutions built on open standards.

The event is free to attend and reservations are required. In-person space is limited.

Each year, RightsCon convenes business leaders, policy makers, general counsels, government representatives, technologists, academics, journalists, and human rights advocates from around the world to tackle pressing issues at the intersection of human rights and technology.  In engaging fireside chats, hands-on workshops, strategic roundtables, private meetings, and a lively exhibition space, RightsCon is where a global movement comes together to build strategies and drive forward change toward a more free, open, and connected digital world. For its 13th edition, RightsCon 2025 will take place in Taipei and online from February 24 to 27.

Distinguished Contributors Award is awarded to a select group of OASIS members who have made significant contributions to the advancement of open standards and/or open source projects, similar to a “Lifetime Achievement Award” or “Hall of Fame.” Open Cup Award is in recognition of exceptional advancements within the OASIS technical community. Two groups will be awarded the Cup, one for Outstanding Approved Standard and another for Outstanding New Initiative.

CAP Workshop

CAP Celebrates ’20th Anniversary’

The 2024 CAP Implementation Workshop will be 23-24 October in Leuven, Belgium. The Call for Participation is at https://cap-workshop.alert-hub.org/2024/call-participation.pdf  An overview of the CAP Workshop is in the Flyer at https://cap-workshop.alert-hub.org/2024/flyer.pdf. Everyone interested in emergency alerting is welcome: managers, technical staff, media, etc., including government, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and commercial firms. There is no charge to participate, but all participants need to pay for their own travel expenses.

On 22 October in the same venue, CAP Training will be 9:00 to noon and a Traveller Information Services Association (TISA) Workshop will be in the afternoon. The events will be conducted in person, or you can join the online Webinars. Webinar instructions will be sent only to registered participants.

OASIS Annual General Member Meeting

All OASIS Members are invited to join OASIS Board Members and Staff for an interactive annual member gathering.

The business portion of the meeting will include a review of the 2023 Annual Report with financial and operational results. Many of the exciting activities and services recently released and in development for members will be highlighted during this event as well. At the end of the briefing, Members will have a chance to ask questions to OASIS Staff and Board Members. You can submit your question in advance (send to: jharnad@oasis-open.org) or ask your question during the event.
