CSAF and VEX Workshop and Roundtable Discussions

BSI and Cisco will host a FREE hands-on workshop on December 13th, 2022 at the Cisco campus in Research Triangle Park, NC. You or your team can learn how to create, consume, and distribute the Common Security Advisory Framework (CSAF) security advisories and Vulnerability Exploitability eXchange (VEX) documents.

In addition, there will be several round table discussions on how vendors, software providers, are creating/consuming SBOMs, VEX, and CSAF documents. Details and RSVP details can be obtained at: https://workshop.csaf.io/

The hands-on workshop is limited to 40 in-person attendees. However, remote participants can participate in the round table discussions and some of the presentations over Webex. Details to be provided via email after registration).

EU Cybersecurity Act Conference

The International Conference on the EU Cybersecurity Act has been developed to help standards community prepare for the evolution of risk-based frameworks meant to address market fragmentation in the EU. The EU Cybersecurity Act, now in the early stages of development, will eventually create a wide-ranging, independent European body of cybersecurity regulation as part of the “single digital market” goal. This landmark regulatory mandate will have a wide-ranging effect on the international standards community—now is the time to begin planning for and participating in ongoing changes.

FOSS Backstage 2023

FOSS Backstage is a two day conference dedicated to everything related to FOSS governance and open collaboration. This fifth edition of the conference will take place as a hybrid event both online and in Berlin at our venue TUECHTIG. Talks will be streamed live and virtual attendees will be able to ask speakers questions. FOSS Backstage provides a space to discuss a broad spectrum of issues related to community management, vendor neutrality and leading projects without discretionary power. Conference topics will include open source project leadership best practices, community management, open source project metrics, open source strategy for enterprise, adopting open source collaboration in corporations, legal matters when dealing with open source and many more.
