Annual OASIS Awards Ceremony

Join us for our Annual Awards Ceremony on Thursday, 25 January 2024 at 16:00 UTC as we start the new year by recognizing the 2023 Open Cup & Distinguished Contributor Award recipients. Distinguished Contributors Award is awarded to a select group of OASIS members who have made significant contributions to the advancement of open standards and/or open source projects, similar to a “Lifetime Achievement Award” or “Hall of Fame.” Open Cup Award is in recognition of exceptional advancements within the OASIS technical community. Two groups will be awarded the Cup, one for Outstanding Approved Standard and another for Outstanding New Initiative.

More than anything, ATO is an educational conference where attendees learn about new technologies and topics, and it’s always been that way. The goal is for attendees to leave having learned something or been made aware of something new. CAP Workshop 2023

EDXL on the Agenda

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is hosting the 2023 Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) Implementation Workshop and Training. Both events will be at the IFRC headquarters building: Chemin des Crêts 17, PetitSaconnex,1209 Geneva, Switzerland. The Training will be 10 October, 9:00-17:00 CEST and the Workshop will be 11 – 12 October, 9:00-17:00 CEST. For those who cannot participate in person, Webinar call-in instructions will be sent to everyone registered.

This Workshop is co-sponsored by the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM), IFRC, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the OASIS standards organization and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).

CSAF and VEX on the Agenda

Cisco will host a summit and workshop centered around the Vulnerability Exploitability eXchange (VEX) and the Common Security Advisory Framework (CSAF). This hybrid event aims to bring together software suppliers, government organizations, open source maintainers, and other interested parties to discuss, learn, and innovate on the application of VEX and CSAF in asserting the status of security vulnerabilities in products.

All OASIS Members are invited to join OASIS Board Members and Staff for an interactive annual member gathering.

The business portion of the meeting will include a review of the 2022 Annual Report with financial and operational results. Many of the exciting activities and services recently released and in development for members will be highlighted during this event as well. At the end of the briefing, Members will have a chance to ask questions to OASIS Staff and Board Members. OCA Event

Cybersecurity Automation Village

Our OCA CASP Community plans to hold a HYBRID workshop and plugfest, the day before and at the same venue as, the CISA SBOMarama. The objective is to present and demonstrate working interoperating systems contributing to cybersecurity automation, particularly across different participants and across the different standards. The workshop will involve a series of presentations and demonstrations touching various interworking scenarios and use cases.

Everyone involved in the development of cybersecurity open source and open standards should be involved. Admission is free and sweat equity is flexible. (You can simply go to see what is going on, but it would be fantastic if you could contribute by getting involved with use cases.)
